Protein Brownie

Did someone say they wanted brownies? Who doesn't love chocolate? That was a rhetorical question. Seriously, I never met a brownie I didn't love...and that's part of my life long problem with excess. But here's a brownie you can actually have. There are TONS of protein brownie recipes floating around out there and here is just one.

2 scoops whey protein (we have vanilla)
1 T cocoa powder (unsweetened, the real deal)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 T sugar free jello pudding mix (powder) chocolate
1/3 C water

Mix it all together in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 45-60 seconds. This is a bit of an experiment, each microwave is a little different.

I don't care for things to be super sweet and the jello and protein powder both have sweeteners in them...but you could add a packet of truvia if you want. You can also add a dash of cayenne pepper to spice it up. Or some fresh ground black pepper. You do know how good chocolate and spice are together, right?

Enjoy your chocolate treat, in moderation. Remember this is not your meal replacement, or post workout meal. This is a dessert, a treat...an extra. It's just one that you can handle. Enjoy!
